Episode 602: Boy Was I right

Let's talk about episode 602.

As some of you know, I think about school in a geopolitical sense all the time. This, and my work with the agency, has caused one of my most famous phrases, "Teenage dating is a threat to national security." Also, most of my values are rooted in AIO episodes!!

I just re-listened to AIO episode 602, and boy does this episode prove me correct. The episode starts with a scene between Mandy and Trent at lunch. They talk, have some corny jokes, and Trent leaves to talk to Max. Trent wants to tell the truth about the Valentine to Mandy. Max then threatens Trent with blackmail.

Trent then tells Connie about his crush and the Valentine he delivered on behalf of Max, and Connie writes it down, at the behest of Trent. Mandy then steals the essay, turns it into class, then it gets printed in the paper, Max finds out, goes on KYDS Radio, and Mandy, Trent, Liz all go to try to stop him. They argue, tell secrets about each other until they all realize the radio light is on and all of Odyssey knows about their crushes, failing grades, and other embarrassing secrets.

Let's break this down. This episode gives people like me goosebumps. It shows the power of the news media and why crush leaks must never EVER happen!!! Trent's first mistake was having a crush. It threatened his person and geopolitical interpersonal relations. If he has to have one, for goodness sake, don't tell anyone, especially Connie!!! She cannot keep a secret!!!!

Max, also why would you send a huge secret admirer heart to Mandy? You don't think Mandy would spend every waking moment to trace the owner of the heart? I know I would, though, I would have to analyze the situation to see if it was a trick by rival intelligence forces to throw me off their scent. Mandy!!! Why would you forget that it was going to get published in the news!!

Side note IF (in a totally different world where aliens exist, iPhone > Samsung, I lost 20 IQ points, and I have sleepovers with kids from school) I had a crush on someone I would not tell anyone (It can be used as leverage) in a geopolitical school, and definitely would I NEVER EVER write about it in an essay that will go in the school news. (Side note this would NEVER happen anyway because I control the news thus giving me even more security.)

     Do you know how bad that looks!!! It gets worse. They go on the radio and talk about it!!! Max was planning to reveal the fact that Trent had a crush to all of Cambell County!!! This would have many geopolitical fallouts!!! This would be like my website getting hacked and revealing my (alleged totally not true so don't get any ideas I know who is reading this post) crushes to the world!!

     In a school where dating is the economy this would be bad but containable. In the world of odyssey its a disaster. This is why I say that rizz is the nuclear power of the 21st century, and that crushes are a threat to national security. 

Jesus Loves You

Sin doesn’t go away on it’s own. Somebody has to pay for it. Who could it be? God knew there was only one choice: His own Son Jesus. Jesus came to earth and did something we could never do: He obeyed perfectly. He never messed up. He never even had a bad thought. But He still took the horrible punishment for sin by dying on the cross. God put all of His anger on Jesus. Jesus didn’t deserve that! Why did He take the punishment for something He didn’t do? He did it so that you and I don’t have to. You mean we don’t have to pay for our own sins? Now that’s GOOD NEWS!

Jesus didn’t stay dead. After three days He rose again to show everyone He has the power to give eternal life. If we trust in Him, God has no more punishment for us. Instead He offers us eternal life in heaven. When Jesus takes the sin out of our hearts He puts something else in it’s place: His perfect life. God sees Jesus’ goodness in us instead of our badness. Jesus’ good days cover all of our yucky days.

He takes our bad out and puts His good in. Do you still mess up sometimes? Me too. But now we can have something we didn’t have before: forgiveness! Pray and ask God to forgive your sins because of what Jesus did. Instead of being guilty you’ll be forgiven. Now that’s not just good news – that’s the BEST news!
