Audio Drama Update

 Hi Guys, I have a few updates to share with you.


  • Adventures in Odyssey Album 73 will be launching on the 14th of July in the Club.
  • I have been listening through Basecamp Adventures and am at season 4. I may share my thought shortly. 
  • Discovery Mountain's new season launched, and can be heard on the website
  • Discovery Mountain is finally adding new content to the club, instead of ad-free episodes, a podcast, and Bible stories. 
  • Word With Zach June reading closes on the 15 of July so hurry up and read that backlog. 
  •  Don't forget about the Clu Crew (and Down Gilead Lane Life at The Pond etc.)  that can be heard on Saturdays at Unshackled Radio.

 John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. The BEST News For Kids! (And Everyone Else) Have you ever tried to be good? I mean really, really good? How about trying to be perfect for a whole day? I know I have. Sometimes I think I’ve done a pretty good job. Other times I know I’ve messed up. 

    Sometimes I mess up small. But sometimes I mess up really big. The problem is, none of us can be good enough for God’s perfect heaven. The Bible says that the tiniest bad thing – even just a bad thought! – is enough to make everyone in the whole world guilty. That’s you. That’s me! Guilty people have to be punished. The punishment for sin (our badness) is being separated from God forever when we die. In hell we would be far away from His love. That’s bad news! But God didn’t let the story end there. He wanted to make a way to get rid of that horrible punishment so people could be with Him in heaven forever. But how?

                                                                        Jesus Loves You 


    Sin doesn’t go away on it’s own. Somebody has to pay for it. Who could it be? God knew there was only one choice: His own Son Jesus. Jesus came to earth and did something we could never do: He obeyed perfectly. He never messed up. He never even had a bad thought. But He still took the horrible punishment for sin by dying on the cross. God put all of His anger on Jesus. Jesus didn’t deserve that! Why did He take the punishment for something He didn’t do? He did it so that you and I don’t have to. You mean we don’t have to pay for our own sins? Now that’s GOOD NEWS! 

    Jesus didn’t stay dead. After three days He rose again to show everyone He has the power to give eternal life. If we trust in Him, God has no more punishment for us. Instead He offers us eternal life in heaven. When Jesus takes the sin out of our hearts He puts something else in it’s place: His perfect life. God sees Jesus’ goodness in us instead of our badness. Jesus’ good days cover all of our yucky days.

   
He takes our bad out and puts His good in. Do you still mess up sometimes? Me too. But now we can have something we didn’t have before: forgiveness! Pray and ask God to forgive your sins because of what Jesus did. Instead of being guilty you’ll be forgiven. Now that’s not just good news – that’s the BEST news! Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Choose Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You are now a new Christian!!

     Have you ever listened to Adventures In Odyssey and said, "I wish that was me" or "I wish I could do that"? Across most Christian Audio dramas, kids are detectives (like Emily and Liz), they can wander their town, and have plenty of fun.      In the real world, you don't get as many detective cases (I've tried) and a band of Christian kids with a radio show, spy agency, and a great church won't find you if you sit alone at school. I am not saying this is the fault of the producers. The Pond Laws Are... Kinda Weird

            Hey, all this website is not dead y'all haha. The Pond is presumed to be in the US (they speak English, Various US cities are referenced as the animal's hometown, and Tony says, "Somebody call the FAA!!"  This puts it under the US Constitution and various state laws and boy are these laws and the laws of physics violated. In one case, Floyd the Turtle is thrown in jail for whining!!! The mayor creates a law saying that it is illegal after the people whine at him. This clearly violates Floyd's 1st Amendment rights to free speech and the supreme court of the state or the US should have struck down that rule. Also, the fact that Floys is a Toddler who can barely read should be put into consideration. WHY IS HE EVEN IN JAIL!!!     We will get back to The Pond government which is WEAK      The second law that is violated is logic. Was Lacy Really Wrong? What's In A Name

   Is it really taking God's name in Vain? That is the question I am posing to you. This is TheOdysseyBoi with a deep philosophical and theological question for you all.    In the kid's corner episode, " What's In A Name ," Mrs. Wattle, Granny Gecko, and Grandpa Anole observe the kids around the town to see if they are taking God's name in vain. At the end of the week, all the lizards come and find out what things they have done wrong.     Most of the lizards are rightfully in trouble (though the moral aspect of spying on kids for a lesson is not discussed), however, one character, Lacy (Not Christian) is, in my opinion unfairly accused of taking God's name in vain.   Lacy plays on the soccer (football for international readers) team with Lucille and the team prays before each game. After Lucille's prayer, Lacy interjects asking God to help them win the game because it is important.    Grandpa Anole gets upset about this, saying that she took God's
